Parfums de Marly

French fragrance house Parfums de Marly has recently opened its new 1,000 sq ft flagship boutique at 31 James Street, Covent Garden, joining one of London’s most prestigious retail districts for luxury beauty.

Working with Quadrant Design, we supplied and configured a bespoke lighting package to complement the store’s refined interior and enhance the brand’s association with French heritage and modern luxury.

The lighting concept was designed to balance precision and atmosphere, enriching architectural form, material finishes and product presentation while maintaining the intimate ambience associated with luxury retail.

We supplied a combination of Poplar 12W adjustable spotlights with 38° beam angles for accent lighting, Acorn 110 adjustable downlights with 40° optics for general illumination, and Emberly 85 recessed downlights to deliver softer ambient light across the space. Each fitting was finished in white to blend discreetly into the ceiling design, ensuring the focus remained on the products and displays below.

Emergency coverage was provided by Mallard recessed self-test luminaires, ensuring compliance with current standards without compromising aesthetic cohesion.

The completed installation delivers a layered lighting scheme that reinforced the brand’s identity. Accent lighting highlights glass bottles and textured surfaces, while diffused ambient light creates a warm, welcoming tone throughout.

Through close collaboration with Quadrant Design, Trojan Lighting helped achieve a result that merges technical excellence with brand storytelling.
