We’re proud to support Doing It For Duncan, a charity established in memory of Duncan Browne, who tragically died in 2022 after being attacked. In the aftermath of this devastating event, Duncan received care at The Walton Centre, a hospital that holds a unique place in the UK’s healthcare system.
The Walton Centre is the only specialist NHS trust in the UK dedicated entirely to neurology, neurosurgery, spinal, and pain management services. It plays a critical role in delivering advanced and compassionate care to patients across the region and beyond. The funds raised by DIFD go directly toward supporting the centre’s vital work.
Next week, the DIFD team will be undertaking a major endurance challenge to help raise funds and awareness. Over the course of six days, they will walk 130 miles from Hull to Liverpool, averaging just under a marathon a day. This coast-to-coast journey is both a tribute to Duncan’s memory and a rallying call to support specialist neurological care.
It’s an inspiring effort, both physically and emotionally, and we’re honoured to stand behind them. We encourage you to support the team and this important cause. Donations can be made via their official fundraising page.
Every contribution helps The Walton Centre continue to provide world-class care and ensures that Duncan’s legacy lives on in a way that supports others in need.
