The White Chapel Building is a landmark London office development, owned and managed by Derwent London. As part of their ongoing programme of investment into sustainable, high-quality workplaces, Derwent commissioned R&O Electrical to deliver a lighting upgrade across key areas of the building.
The project covered a wide variety of spaces, each with its own technical and operational demands. Office areas required low-glare, efficient lighting to support comfort and productivity. Plant rooms needed robust, high-output fittings suited to demanding environments. Bathrooms and corridors had to be bright, reliable, and easy to maintain. Exterior areas needed durable, weather-resistant luminaires. In addition, the client required a full emergency lighting solution to meet compliance requirements.
Our Solution
Trojan Lighting supplied a tailored package of luminaires designed to meet the varied needs of the site:
Grimrod – IP66, IK08-rated linear fittings delivering durable, high-efficiency lighting for plant rooms.
Ludlow – LG7-compliant modular panels with low-glare diffusers, perfect for office areas and shallow ceiling voids.
Ambleside – Compact, versatile downlights suited to bathrooms and support areas, combining reliability with easy maintenance.
Tontine – IP65-rated wall packs providing robust exterior lighting, ideal for safe access and perimeter illumination.
